چکیده

This paper presents a new discretization scheme for hyperbolic systems of conservation laws. It satisfies the TVD property and relies on the new high-resolution mechanism which is compatible with the genuinely multidimensional approach proposed recently. This work can be regarded as a first step towards extending the genuinely multidimensional approach to unsteady problems. Discontinuity capturing capabilities and accuracy of the scheme are verified by a set of numerical tests.

Investigation of Fluid-structure Interaction by Explicit Central Finite Difference Methods

Fluid-structure interaction (FSI) occurs when the dynamic water hammer forces; cause vibrations in the pipe wall. FSI in pipe systems due to Poisson and junction coupling has been the center of attention in recent years. It causes fluctuations in pressure heads and vibrations in the pipe wall. The governing equations of this phenomenon include a system of first order hyperbolic partial differen...

A case study of flood dynamic wave simulation in natural waterways using numerical solution of unsteady flows

Flood routing has many applications in engineering projects and helps designers in understanding the flood flow characteristics in river flows. Floods are taken unsteady flows that vary by time and location. Equations governing unsteady flows in waterways are continuity and momentum equations which in case of one-dimensional flow the Saint-Venant hypothesis is considered. Dynamic wave model as ...

Implicit Scheme for Hyperbolic Conservation Laws Using Nonoscillatory Reconstruction in Space and Time

The efficiency of high order accurate schemes for the solution of unsteady hyperbolic conservation laws is adversely affected by time-step restrictions that arise from monotonicity requirements. When applied to the solution of problems involving discontinuities, these restrictions render conventional high order implicit time integration schemes impractical. In the present study, a new single st...

Quasi-Static Numerical Simulation of Missile Staging

In this study, the missile staging process by implementing a side-injected jet is simulated numerically. The problem is considered to be axisymmetric and the thin shear layer approximation of Navier-Stokes equations along with an algebraic turbulence model is used in a quasi-static form for the calculations. The free stream corresponds to a very high altitude flight condition with a Mach number...

تاثیر ارتفاع در فرایند جدایش غیردائم موشکهای چند مرحله‌ای

Effect of altitude is discussed in the unsteady separation of multi stage rockets. Axisymmetric, unsteady and turbulent Navier stokes equations are solved numerically. The governing equations are split into a hyperbolic inviscid part and a parabolic diffusion part. The hyperbolic part is solved by an explicit second-order time and space of Godunov-type scheme. Moving mesh and moving boundary al...
